I'm not really sure what you are asking. Most children with Down syndrome attend public schools and their parents, along with their IEP team determine if the child will do best in mainstream classes, special ed classes or a combination of the two. Exactly which school you attend may be determined by where you live, but many areas accommodate families with children with Developmental Delays and allow them to attend the school that is best suited for that child's needs. I hope you find what you are looking for.

All public schools accept children with learning disabilities. It's the law! All children are entitled to the same quality education. I work for Cypress-Fairbanks school district in the Houston area. What school district do you reside in? Contact the district to find out which school's zone you are a residence of.

Yes, kids with DS usually go to the regular school and attend some special classes as needed. Per the IEP. It's best to mainstream them as much as they can handle, for the academic challenge and the social acceptance.
