It's going to start sooner than you believe. According to the Houston Independent School District Website calendar at: http://www.houstonisd.org/HISDConnectDS/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=43dabffcf1901110VgnVCM10000028147fa6RCRD the first day of school is August 27. The good news is that your first day off is September 3 for Labor Day. Have a successful school year, but first enjoy every minute of summer vacation that you have.
